Seems like Gearbox made this too confusing. I guess they install, then wait for a first-time play. It's nothing but my fault to assume anything without asking for a confirmation. When I started to play for the first time, it seems like the creature dome and premier DLC's activated. OP didn't mention anything besides the level range.
just put 5/5 into bus and use a legendary berserker for that extra movement speed. I might be wrong and maya could actually be faster, but i just feel that she isnt as tanky as sal, and she wont be able to clear through the oblilgatory areas as efficeintly as sal would and she's go down more easily.
You can also use a legendary gunzerker mod which will allow you to be gunzerking for longer, but i cant certainly say which one is actually more efficient. sham will basically give you unlimited norfleet ammo but i'd siggest using this method only for speedrunning cause its pretty cheap to use for general gameplay. maya has definately beter movement speed but sal will be able to melt every enemy on his way with his dual norfleets, so overall i think he is more effective for speedrunning. there's also some shortcuts here and there that you can take but they usualy involve grenade jumping and you gotta be famililar with them beforehand. Lastly, having up to date guns will help a lot, so how do you plan to make sure your char has good items? You use gibbed to update them to your level, or you have alts that can send stuff around through claptrap stash? If I'm mistaken on this as well, OP, please correct me and provide us with more details. I do think it's fair to assume he will solo, since he hasn't mentioned anything about coop, and spoke from the "I perspective" rather than "we". I might be very mistaken, and Carefulsteps raises a valid point How experienced at leveling is the OP? If he knows where to go, which missions to combine in the area, and potentially even which to ignore, it will make a bigger difference on his time than the impact of the class selection. He said he has all the characters, I kind of assumed those were already at 72 and he wanted a challenge of a speedrun. Which does beg the question, is this a solo speed run? Not just that, but also the knowhow of completing quests efficiently. Originally posted by Mozike:Speedrun in terms of leveling would benefit more from an effective combat class than just movement speed. Switching between the Shamfleet and Rough Banshee sets would be optimal, depending on wether or not you have to run past stuff fast or actually kill some stuff. Use Logan's Gun for ammo, and you can just go around spraying rockets.Īny class can do this tactic I guess.
A Sham with Norfleet combo might run slower, but kills stuff at least as fast as most guns, and is safer (shooting enemies get their bullets absorbed, you easily get second winds if downed, etc).
Actually fighting would be a bit tricky considering the already mentioned weaknesses it gives you. The gained speed from this combo with Rough Rider and Fleet is most useful for sprinting between area's. I would recommend you keep a Grog Nozzle or Rubi on you at all times, because if you are going to run around with decreased health and no shield, you either need to dodge like Neo, or heal like Jesus. This will let you RUN really fast, but doing a *speed run*, I imagine, would involve killing at least some story missions. The Rough Rider, 5/5 on fleet ,and a blue-rarity Banshee class mod with +6 in fleet for that 11/5 fleet skill. Pretty sure he's referring to the Fleet skill in the Motion tree but it only applies when shields are down.
